URBAN EXPANSION IN EAST ASIAN

This visualization is used to explain the status of urban expansion in east Asian. There are two parts, including left side story and right side map. The Left side story describes the secret behind the data of the right side map. A land transform chord diagram is also embedded in left side panel to explain the land use change from 2000 to 2010 under different scales. The right side map visualizes the land use change on the map. The big lense is used to detect the land use pattern change from 2000 to 2010. The map inside lense is designed for showing land use pattern in 2010, while outside is designed for showing land use pattern in 2000. You can move the lense to detect the land use pattern change at any specific area.
