Urbanization of East Asia is one of the most transformative global phenomena of our generation. Based on World Bank data, this datavisualization analyses the issues that rapid urbanisation of East Asia is facing such as low density, administrative boundaries, … which can lead to urban sprawl and negative effects on sustainable development.

On the bottom of the visualization, countries are sorted by denity. Uban land needed per new inhabitant is illustrated with a square.
