Population density in Asia

Population density in Asia

Population density in Asia on 5km2 resolution. The image is processed in ArcGIS and post-processed in Maya.
Height of the spike corresponds to density, with higher being more densely populated.

Initially, the project also had the scope to include a 3D print of the globe, albeit in a slightly more simplified version. The globe will be printed using the ‘stereolithography’ method, allowing for fair resolution and high robustness.
Images of the printed 3D globe will be uploaded to the authors’ account next week.
