Mexican Bloody War
This work focuses on the narco violence in Mexico. President Felipe Calderón took office in December 2006. Just a few days after his inauguration he started a “war against drugs” which involved the deployment of the Mexican army to fight drug cartels.
The objective is to show the escalation of homicides that took place during Calderón government (2006 to 2011), particularly on the states bordering the United States, Each circle represents one of the states of Mexico and grows according to the killings per 100,000 inhabitants that year.
