Winner of the Memefest 2013 “Food Democracy” contest. It’s a humorous take on the food democracy theme – 150,000 recipes were scraped from the net along with their national provenance and ingredients. Then Economist Intelligence Unit’s Democracy Index ratings for each country were linked with recipe ingredients and connected into a network. The result is a diagram showing which foods are close to different styles of governing: democratic, authoritarian, etc.
