Ever since the inception and penetration of internet to our livelihood, we have slowly but steadily evolved into a genuinely knowledge-driven society. Psychologists mention that the analysis of the surfing habit may lead to understanding one’s way of thinking, approaching any problem, solving any situation etc.

Psychologists mention that the largest surfing trend is shared by two sections, namely the Home Hubs and the Study Bugs. Both of it stand at a sober 23% among the entire surfing community. Describing the two sections, the psychologists mention that the former consists of a focused, highly motivated group of surfers and the latter is essentially the knowledge seekers. For the latter, the internet is for gathering information and expanding the resources. The next two prominent sections will be the Savvy Surfers and Pleasure Seekers. While the former stands at 17%, the latter is placed at 12%. Between these two sections, the former is known to utilize the internet for highly specific purposes including, the holiday planning and product buying. Pleasure Seekers use internet as an expression of their escapism by sharing and downloading the film and song. The last two surfing sections will be the Life Loggers and Next Steppers. These two stand at a respective percentage of 7% and 1.2%. Analyzing these sections, psychologists mention that the former uses internet for sharing minutest details with online admirers. The latter, according to the surveys, utilize internet for looking for professional opportunities.
