Trajectory Analysis of Calatrava's Milwaukee Art Museum

The approach of a human body on axis of the “wings” towards the Milwaukee Art Museum is analyzed within this set of diagrams. All the data found within this project is in terms of 5 degree rotations of the wings versus 40 feet of movement by the user. It takes 10 seconds to move 40 feet and for the structure to rotate 5 degrees.

The grided red lines designate the 36 individual flaps’ trajectories. These flaps compose the “wing” structure. The screened lines connecting the wings to the body’s path were used for the final synthesized ccross-sectional analysis - which are represented as yellow curves in the perspective models.
