This visualization explored the relationship between GDP and % of urban population with improved sanitation facilities.

In the strata of Low Income countries, Vietnam and Uzbekistan stand out. Vietnam is the 13th most populous country in the world, yet 94% of the population has access to improved sanitation facilities. In Uzbekistan, 100% of the population has access to improved sanitation facilities. India stands at 54%.

All high income countries (OECD countries) have 100% of population with access to improved sanitation facilities. (OECD = Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD))

Among high income non OECD countries, Trinidad&Tobago and Estonia fare a bit poorly as compared to other countries.  Other countries stand at 100%, T & T are at 92% and Estonia at 96%.
