Food consumption in Europe

"Food consumption in Europe" is a visual comparison between the food consumption of adults from 14 different European countries and the recommended portions of distinct food groups that conform the USDA's guide pyramid.
The aim of this work is by no means to judge the Europeans' food consumption in a subjective way but to present a perspective that may highlight certain particular behavior that can be linked to cultural, economic or social reasons.

Despite this pyramid model is not the newest one, it was chosen due to it's popularity and simplicity.
