Flickr Cities

Flickr activity fingerprints for London, New York City and Paris. Each dot represents a longitude/latitude location of 0.002 degrees with its radius proportional to image upload activity for July 2012. Each map's scale is the same allowing for a proper comparison. London is quite dispersed whilst Paris is fairly compact and you can cleary see Manhattan in NYC.

These maps are heavily inspired by Anil Bawa-Cavia's Social Activity Fingerprints for the Foursquare network. They are found at http://urbagram.net/images/LDN-NYC-PAR-fingerprints-l.gif.

These maps were created using d3.js and the flickr api, with screenshots using PhantomJS
