Colorado Income and Population through Public Transit

Colorado Income and Population through Public Transit

Where Colorado's public transit goes and who uses it when it gets there. Through the lens of busses and light rails, this visualization focuses not only on movement of human populations within and near the Denver metro area but also access to mobility for the rich, poor, urban, and remote.

Schedules were pulled from the most recent official government data. Ridership and subsidy data scraped from a 2012 report, the latest of its kind to be made readily accessible to the public by RTD, the regional transportation authority. Income data used from the 5 year American Community Survey estimates.
