Changing Places - Internal Migration in England & Wales

Each year, about 1 in 30 people living in England and Wales will start a new life in a different part of the country. Now, using this interactive, you can see who moves where.

Click on an area to start, you'll see dots fly in from different areas which are sized to represent the number of people from there. Either hover over a circle or another part of the country to see the raw numbers. If you want to find out where people moved to, just click on the 'outward' button at the top and start all over again.
