The bar chart shows the results of opinion polls averaged per month from March 2009 through September 2012. Undecided opinions were not included to only show a two party race. This adjustment means 50% indicates a dead heat between the candidates, and the leading candidate is shown by breaking over this 50% mark, into the other candidate's side of the chart.
