The Winning Projects for VisWeek 2012

The Winning Projects for VisWeek 2012

Congratulations to Ruslan Enikeev and Daniel Haehn — their respective projects The Internet Map and Slice:Drop were selected as the strongest entries in our latest call for submissions for VisWeek 2012. Both will have the opportunity to attend VisWeek 2012 when it takes place on October 14-19 in Seattle, Washington. Both projects offer valuable insights and discussion points related to the topics of the week-long conference, which focuses on scientific and information visualization and the discipline’s related tools, techniques, and technologies.

The Internet Map was applauded as a well-crafted, eye-catching, and effective tool for exploring the internet and understanding its scale. As a viewer for medical imaging data, judges appreciated Slice:Drop for its application in the healthcare domain and its usability.

Thanks to all who participated and our partners at VisWeek 2012! We are looking forward to following the conference in October.
