CHALLENGE: Visualize the U.S. Election

CHALLENGE: Visualize the U.S. Election

With the conventions getting under way this week, we've teamed up with the Huffington Post to launch our latest challenge focused on analyzing and bringing insight to polling data. Using their Pollster API, launched earlier this summer, we challenge you to visualize the 2012 U.S. election with the aim of better understanding the election itself as well as opinion polling and its limitations. This is an opportunity to offer insight on politics not only in the U.S., but in other countries as well.

The Pollster API provides access to tens of thousands of opinion polls collected since 2004 and includes information about the methodology used to collect the data for each poll. By operating in real time on aggregated data, the Pollster data tracks current sentiment better than any individual poll on its own.

As this is Visualizing's first challenge incorporating a live data API, we're excited to see how you, the community, take it on! Get all of the challenge details here.
